WSCAD is returning to Nuremberg with the international trade fair SPS Smart Production Solutions as a face-to-face event. From November 23rd to 25th, the Bergkirchen-based company will present its electrical engineering solution ELECTRIX in a level of detail never seen before. At booth 328 in hall 6, E-CAD users from the mechanical and plant engineering sectors as well as from building automation and installation technology can expect a firework of new functions.

Quick search celebrates its trade fair premiere

In the current WSCAD ELECTRIX release, the quick search “Search & Click” will be visible for the first time – it will be celebrating its premiere at the SPS. Thanks to the new function, users no longer have to worry about where to find a certain functionality for creating their electrical engineering documents. All you have to do is enter a term in the search dialog – matching hits will be displayed. The highlight: Nobody has to leave the drawing area, for example to execute a command from the menu bar or to place a symbol on the plan. A new project can be created using the quick search, as can mounting plates, cable ducts and top-hat rails on cabinet pages. Software settings can also be changed quickly and easily with Search & Click.

The new version of the WSCAD electrical engineering solution is called ELECTRIX. It convinces with a completely renewed core. It enables all process steps in electrical engineering to be consistently interlinked and lean, time-optimized processes to be implemented. Numerous automatisms relieve design engineers and guarantee both occasional users and power users professional support. Data does not have to be recorded multiple times, a modern user interface significantly reduces engineering times.

More functions, less complexity

One of the important innovations at WSCAD ELECTRIX is the editor with many improvements and an intuitive look and feel. In addition to the native WSCAD format, it also reads and writes DWG data. Plans in these two formats can be edited without any intermediate steps. A DWG conversion and the associated time-consuming data import and export are no longer necessary – a huge gain in time, especially for large drawings with many 100,000 elements. The new mouse-over function automatically highlights elements, handling rotary variants is more convenient, and data export can be configured flexibly through the use of path variables.

Full integration

With ELECTRIX, WSCAD users can enjoy full integration with leading ERP and PLM systems. In addition, interfaces are available for the direct connection of NC production machines, label printers or terminal designers and selection tools from other automation suppliers. ELECTRIX is available as a purchase or rental license and is compatible with the previous WSCAD SUITE X – all data and plans can continue to be used and edited 1: 1. Plans generated with ELECTRIX can be saved backwards compatible in the previous SUITE X format.

“We are very pleased to present the many innovations and the tangible advantages that distinguish WSCAD ELECTRIX live to a large trade fair audience and to bring them closer in personal consultations”,says CEO Axel Zein about the SPS appearance in Nuremberg. The revised stand design by WSCAD supports compliance with the 3G plus Corona rules throughout the trade fair with generous intervals.
