Personal encounters, professional exchange and the most innovative technologies: all of this is embodied in the SPS 2021 trade fair, which will take place in Nuremberg from November 23rd to 25th – SMELA will be there. The event is one of the largest international trade fairs for electrical automation, industrial software solutions, systems and components. This year the fair will take place in a hybrid format both on site in Nuremberg and digitally to present the innovations of tomorrow.

SMELA GmbH offers such an innovation with the liteECO® linear actuator. With the newly developed electromechanical solution, the startup would like to offer every system manufacturer who has energy efficiency, control or installation space problems with pneumatic short-stroke cylinders or electric linear motors a solution that is advantageous in every respect.

At SMELA’s stand, visitors can see the functionality and advantages of the linear actuators for themselves. Efficiency and compactness lead to a 75% reduction in energy consumption and up to 80% savings in installation space. Managing director Benjamin Horn sums up the corporate concept as follows: “With our product we want to enable a comprehensive substitution of pneumatic compact cylinders as a plug & play solution – we stand for unconventional approaches as well as intelligent and holistic mechatronic systems.”

The new liteECO® series is a power pack with up to 600 N and manages maximum strokes in the smallest of spacesof up to 58 millimeters can be realized, whereby further configurations are possible. In addition, an attachable, decentralized motion controller will be presented. “This means that we offer users almost integrated and decentralized control solutions, but we still give customers the choice of using familiar controls,” explains the technical director, Dr.-Ing. Denis Draganov.

The company will be represented in Hall 3 – Stand 382 .
