Automation, the integral part of today’s global modern manufacturing, continues to grow from strength to strength. Attributed to a fresh round of Malaysian Government incentives for stakeholders to upgrade their manufacturing facilities, demand for components such as PLCs, drives, conveyors, inspection and measurement and other applied systems, etc., is expected to grow. As automation is also part of innovation that the Government is encouraging, Malaysian companies that are automating their production lines will stand to gain from the recently announced RM 1 Billion Domestic Direct Investment Fund.

Leveraging on the regional manufacturing sector moving up the supply chain, Industrial Automation (IA) 2013, the 7th international edition will be staged at Kuala Lumpur City Convention Centre on 20-23 March, 2013. This ideal platform for manufacturers and providers of components, production systems and processes is endorsed by MATRADE (Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation) and is supported by SIRIM BERHAD and exclusively, by the Malaysia Automation Technology Association (formerly known as FMM-Automation Technology Industry Group). Members of M.A.T.A can benefit from joining the Malaysian pavilion at IA 2013. Amongst the exhibiting companies having confirmed their participation are AR Global Engineering, Autonics, Doeka Asia, CMS Supplies, FA Control, Harting, Jati Combustion, KVC Industrial Supplies, Metal Work Pneumatic, Onesto, Rockwell Automation, SamKoon, SM Cyclo, WEG-Watt EuroDrive, and many others.

IA 2013 will be co-located with ASEAN Elenex 2013 – ASEAN’s 10th International Exhibition & Conference on Transmission & Distribution and Electrical Engineering and the most established event of its kind with the patronage of the Energy Commission, TNB (including its BVDP companies), IPPs, Cireq, TEEAM and other Asia-Pacific trade bodies.
