Saving energy is the topic of the moment. In industrial production processes, precise knowledge and evaluation of all process variables and innovative load control make a significant contribution. At the SPS 2022 in Nuremberg, the specialist for industrial automation and process monitoring will be presenting its smart components and solutions for the digitized industry.
TWIIST – More than a sensor
The new multifunctional TWIIST technology for contactless, wear-free position detection is revolutionizing the role of measurement technology in automation and redefining the function of sensors: In addition to the position, the intelligent displacement transducers also record other process variables such as acceleration and vibrations, recognize irregularities in the process and use this information in relation to each other. The goal: Reliable monitoring and predictive maintenance at various levels.
KS-I – ultra-fast pressure transmitter with IO-Link
The pressure sensors of the KS-I seriesrecord pressure and temperature with a high sampling frequency of 1,000 S/s. This allows you to communicate with the IO-Link master at the maximum available speed of 230.4 kbaud or COM3 for IO-Link communication.
The enhanced connectivity of the new pressure transmitters allows the recording of a wide range of acyclic information, which is essential for predictive maintenance as part of Industry 4.0. In addition to the maximum values for pressure and temperature, this also includes peak values achieved and the number of working hours.
GRP-H – the first semiconductor relay with IO-Link and extended diagnostic functions
GRP-H, the innovative platform for compact solid state relays from GEFRAN, is the first single-phase solid state relay with digital IO-Link protocol and extended diagnostic functions. The new GRP-H series, a further development of the solid state relay series GRS-H, complements the innovative family of GRx power controllers.
This includes numerous other solid state relays: from the simple solid state contactor GRS or GRS-H with or without a heat sink to the high-end platform GRM for particularly complex applications. The relays can be found in a wide variety of applications in the glass, plastics and food industries as well as in infrared and refrigeration technology.
GSLM – managing electrical loads intelligently
GEFRAN’s Smart Load Manager GSLMcoordinates the switching sequence and switch-on time of heating resistors in cooperation with the power controllers of the GPC series in such a way that the energy consumption is distributed as evenly as possible over the switch-on time while avoiding peak loads and at the same time the preset power limit is not exceeded at any time. In industrial heat treatment, this intelligent load distribution enables the economic use of electrical energy.
