Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG is going to this year’s SPS (Smart Production Solutions) with several innovations. The worldwide unique Smart Collector pantograph system will be on show for the first time at the trade fair, which will take place from November 8th to 10th in Nuremberg. In addition, the Kamen-based system provider for mobile industrial applications is showing the Rockwell Automation iTRAK, which is equipped with inductive VAHLE systems for non-contact energy transmission. Other highlights at the VAHLE booth in hall 4, booth 336 are the modular compact conductor line VCL (VAHLE COMPACT LINE) and the latest control generations.

“After the SPS unfortunately had to be canceled last year, we are all the more pleased to be able to present our new products such as the Smart Collector live in front of an audience this time. With the solution, we are ensuring – in line with the trade fair motto ‘Bringing Automation to Life’ – higher system availability and productivity in automated systems,” says Achim Dries, CEO of the VAHLE Group. With the world’s first intelligent pantograph on the market, the technology pioneer from Kamen is also reducing maintenance costs. “The system collects analysis data on the condition of the conductor rails and their components and thus prevents faults at an early stage. That saves a lot of time and money,” says the CEO. In the meantime, VAHLE has installed the system in three pilot plants.

VAHLE shows inductive solution for the packaging industry

At the trade fair for smart and digital automation, VAHLE also presents a special highlight at its booth – the Rockwell Automation iTRACK. The ultra-compact CPS140 kHz inductive power transmission system is used there, which enables moving elements, also known as movers, to be continuously supplied with power without contact. “In addition, the complexity of the energy supply is reduced and the robustness increased,” says Dries. As a result, higher process performance can be achieved compared to conventional energy transmission options. . The solution is therefore particularly suitable for system integrators and manufacturers of packaging machines and production lines.

The trade fair portfolio is rounded off by classic energy transmission systems such as conductor rails or charging contacts. “Our development does not stand still here either. We recently optimized the charging contacts for improved performance and specifically for outdoor use,” says Dries. The all-in-one conductor line VCL was specially designed for shuttle systems, automatic small parts storage (AKL) and stacker cranes (RGB) as well as for compact transfer and transfer car applications in the small and medium performance range. “In contrast to comparable solutions, the VCL stands out in particular due to its modularity, scalability and simple assembly,” emphasizes Dries. Components from the latest control generation will also be on display at the booth. VAHLE can be found in hall 4 at booth 336.
