Torque follower configuration with PowerFlex 755 CIP Motion

The purpose of this document is to provide an example setup of a load sharing application using PowerFlex 755 drives with Integrated Motion on EtherNet/IP (CIP Motion) and a Logix Programmable Automation Controller (PAC).

Load sharing is a term used to describe a system where multiple drives and motors are coupled and used to run one mechanical load. The example is based on a large diameter turn table application where we use a torque follower topology to share the load.

In this example application we want to move the turn table some degrees so we will configure the Master Axis in position loop and use the integrated motion instructions available in Logix
