This Getting Started is designed for entry-level users who want to learn about the functionalities of SIMATIC Motion Control. The Getting Started contains the TIA Portal project with all contects required for using the SIMATIC Motion Interpreter. Both a basic and an advanced showcase are documented.

The basic showcase contains a cartesian portal kinematic and implements a simple pick and place task with the SIMATIC Motion Interpreter. It uses TIA Portal features for controlling and monitoring the application.

The advanced showcase contains a SCARA kinematics and two conveyors for product / container transportation. The machine is supplied as NX Mechatronics Concept Desinger model. The SIMATIC Motion Interpreter is used to control the machine and implements a conveyor tracking for picking up products, placing them in a container, and applying a container cover.

With the SIMATIC Motion Interpreter motion jobs for individual axes and interpolated kinematics with up to 6 axes can be created. The interpreter executes a series of serial instructions. This sequence is commonly referred to as an Interpreter program.
