VISION, the world’s leading trade fair for industrial image processing, will open on October 8, 2024 with a new number of exhibitors. Around 500 more exhibitors than ever before will present their new developments and innovations to a global audience over the three days. “With an increase of more than 26 percent compared to the last event, we set a new record here. In addition, the participation rate of international exhibitors has increased to 68 percent,” says Florian Niethammer, Head of Fairs and Events at Messe Stuttgart.
“We have also been able to increase the exhibition space by 17 percent compared to VISION 2022,” adds Niethammer. One third of the exhibitors will be participating for the first time, a record that also shows the great potential of the image processing industry. And finally, the record-breaking number of over 30 registered startups and new entrants in the industry shows how innovative and versatile the image processing industry still is, bringing so many new companies to the market.
Overview of trends in the technology industry – live, streaming and on demand
Fair visitors can expect an extensive program of speakers on all three days of the fair. From synthetic data to 3D, embedded vision and hyperspectral imaging to artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning, all the important trend topics in the image processing industry will be on the agenda for the Industrial VISION Days and Scientific VISION Days. “With this program, VISION will focus on all important current trends and developments and once again assume its role as an important source of inspiration in the industry,” explains Niethammer.
“This year we will also offer a live stream of the lectures and a video-on-demand service, giving everyone interested the opportunity to come to the venue and participate in the knowledge transfer. “In this way, we will expand the reach of VISION and offer potential users of image processing who cannot personally attend VISION in Stuttgart this year the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and innovations,” adds Niethammer.
A special highlight of the program is the VISION Award. The award for technical excellence in the field of image processing was selected from more than 60 applications and will be presented on the Forum Stage on October 9th from 11 am to 12 pm.
