The toolkit brings AI acceleration to Universal Robots’ (UR) next-generation PolyScope. In particular, the NVIDIA Isaac Manipulator enables developers to bring fast performance and cutting-edge AI technology to their robotic solutions. The toolkit also includes a new, high-quality Orbbec Gemini 335Lg 3D camera.
With everything seamlessly integrated, the toolkit provides developers with a complete go-to-market architecture, ready to go right out of the box. The AI Accelerator leverages UR’s platform with built-in demo programs to enable features such as pose estimation, tracking, object detection, path planning, image classification, quality inspection, and condition detection. The same week that hundreds of robot software developers will gather for ROSCon 2024 in UR’s home base of Odense, Denmark, a demo of the UR AI Accelerator with a CNC machine operation application will be shown at the ROSCon exhibition.
The PolyScope X platform is available worldwide and can be used for any collaborative robot automation application in any industry. Its high degree of flexibility and scalability will be showcased at the PolyScope X Festival in November, which will showcase a number of solutions already developed on this new platform, including AI solutions. With just a small hardware upgrade, the software is compatible with UR’s e-series collaborative robots as well as the new generation UR20 and UR30 collaborative robots.
