NORD’s IE5+ synchronous motors stand for energy efficiency and safety of operation. Depending on the version, the power output varies between 0.35 kW and 4 kW. They exceed the highest defined efficiency classes and are characterized by a compact and hygienic design in the smallest possible installation space. The motors are available in different versions: TENV smooth motors, TEFC motors with cooling fins and integrated DuoDrive gear motors. With an efficiency of up to 95% over a wide torque range, the IE5+ synchronous motors offer optimal consumption values even in the partial load and partial speed ranges. With the combination of IE5+ motors and NORDAC frequency converters, NORD offers one of the most efficient drive systems currently available on the market.
NORDAC ON/ON+ Distributed Drive Electronics

The distributed frequency inverters NORDAC ON/ON+ are characterized by a compact design, full plug-in capability and high reliability. NORDAC ON was developed for applications with asynchronous motors, while NORDAC ON+ was designed for combination with IE5+ synchronous motors. The inverters are designed for a power range from 0.37 kW to 3.7 kW. Thanks to the plug-and-play functionality, the amount of wiring is significantly reduced, providing a maintenance-free and economical solution for modern production environments. Further features include a PLC onboard and an integrated Ethernet interface for PLC and drive-related functions. PROFINET, EtherNET/IP and EtherCAT can be configured via parameters. This is an advantage, for example, in the packaging industry.
NORDAC LINK – quick installation, easy maintenance
The NORDAC LINK SK 250E offers a flexible and convenient drive solution for distributed installation and is suitable for wall mounting close to the motor. The frequency inverter is available in protection classes IP55 and IP65 and covers a power range from 0.37 kW to 7.5 kW. It can be freely configured and therefore adapted to a wide range of applications. Full plug-in capability allows for quick and easy installation. Integrated maintenance switches and local manual control facilitate commissioning and servicing.
NORDAC PRO SK 500P – versatile and intelligent
With the NORDAC PRO SK 500P, NORD offers a control cabinet inverter for virtually any drive application. The inverter in booksize format impresses with its high overload capacity and is available in various versions. Devices up to 22 kW are currently available. The power range will soon be extended to 160 kW. Further features include USB, multi-encoder and multi-protocol Ethernet interfaces. The integrated PLC reduces the load on the upper PLC, and the POSICON positioning function realizes various positioning tasks. The frequency converter controls all types of motors with or without encoder feedback, reducing variations in the control cabinet.
NORD Updates Parameterization Software
NORD has updated its NORDCON software tool and is presenting the latest version in Nuremberg. The tool offers new functions to make drive parameterization and monitoring even easier. It is an ideal addition to the NORDCON APP and the NORDAC ACCESS BT Bluetooth stick. NORD thus offers a mobile commissioning and service solution, allowing users to view all relevant drive data at all times.
