As a long-standing expert in safe sensors, Kübler is now extending its safe Industrial Ethernet encoder platform to include the latest SIL2 and SIL3 certified Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE) protocol.
The S58x8FSX encoders transmit up to 15 bits safely or up to 24 bits non-safely, plus 12 bits of fully redundant multiturn information safely. Thanks to the platform architecture, this is implemented in exactly the same design as the S58 PROFIsafe encoder.
Updates can be easily performed via FoE (File over EtherCAT) without the need for a web server, which greatly simplifies the maintenance process and ensures that the encoder is always up-to-date.
