In addition, powerful drive elements provide high feed forces and acceleration, which shortens cycle times, increases the service life and reduces downtimes. The stainless steel masking tape is frictionless on the outside and does not generate particles, which means that drives from the Axis family are ideal for use in clean rooms.
These properties make the ELGD axis family with spindle drives ELGD-BS and toothed belt drives ELGD-TB ideal for future-oriented industries such as renewable energies, electric vehicle manufacturing, battery production and the semiconductor industry. The ELGD axle is one of the stiffest axles on the market. Using the example of a dosing station, the specially developed guidance concept allows for precise and dynamic movement of the dosing head. Loads of up to 20 kg can be mounted on the Y-axis.

The non-abrasive and clean surface protects the workpiece from particles, meaning it can also be used in clean rooms. On the other hand, the axles are less susceptible to dirt ingress, making them suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions.

The spindle axes ELGD-BS and ELGD-BS-WD feature a durable and highly precise ball screw and achieve a stroke of up to 2.5 meters. The motor position can be chosen in axial or parallel direction. The toothed belt axes ELGD-TB and ELGD-TB-WD are characterized by an almost vibration-free carriage movement and achieve a maximum stroke of up to 8.5 meters. Steel tension members strengthen the timing belt made of various polyurethanes. The motor position on the axis end is freely selectable and can also be retrofitted.
