Traffic Control System (TCS) software from SIGMATEK streamlines the fleet management of Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs): For this purpose, TCS links various AGV and AMR types, manages transport assignments, organizes route planning in real time, and enhances transport tasks through the built-in fleet simulation. SLAM cards can be incorporated effortlessly and straightforwardly.
The updated, expanded order distribution provides greater efficiency and adaptability in managing AGV/AMR fleets. A smart order reorganization allocates vehicles thoughtfully throughout the factory floor, minimizing congestion and creating valuable space. This guarantees that tasks finish promptly, resources are utilized efficiently, and bottlenecks are prevented.
Task Prioritization
To prioritize crucial tasks, it is now feasible to dynamically reassign AGVs and AMRs, meaning a task with lesser priority can be delayed or paused to expedite time-sensitive tasks.
Adaptable Route Planning
Through predictive task management, unnecessary travel can be minimized: TCS assesses whether the best vehicle is approaching task completion. If this occurs, a follow-up order is designated in close proximity. This reduces the distance from the manufacturing site or storage facilities to the charging stations.
If a vehicle is obstructed, the TCS can enable the AGV or AMR to avoid the obstacle or choose an alternate path to ensure timely delivery. Future routes are being designed to entirely avoid the object, guaranteeing an uninterrupted movement of materials.
Thanks to standardized interfaces and protocols, SIGMATEK’s TCS can be swiftly and adaptably incorporated into current intralogistics systems: VDA 5050, MQTT, JSON, UDP, TCP/IP
