The layout of the drive, especially the sizing of drive axes, along with the ideal choice of motor, gearbox, drive controllers, and accessories, serves as the basis for effective machine design. The TwinCAT 3 Motion Designer tool was developed for this objective and can be incorporated into the TwinCAT automation platform or utilized as an independent project engineering tool for drive design.
