With the update and integration of the first parts of the PLCopen specifications on Motion Control, the third part with the User Guidelines needed to reflect the new features as well as a general improvement.
The User Guidelines contain easy-to-understand application examples and show how to create user-derived function blocks to add to a company specific library, improving the reusability of the application programs. These examples help the user to better understand the PLCopen Motion Control functionality and to get started with their first application programs. Also it can be used for teaching.
This document is released as version 2.0 in February 2013.
PLCopen is open for new examples of you to add to future releases of this specification.
With this new release, the set of PLCopen Motion Control Specifications consist of the following cooperating parts:
Part 1 – with the basic functionalitiesPart 2 – being integrated in Part 1Part 3 – the update part with the user guidelinesPart 4 – for coordinated motionPart 5 – with the homing proceduresPart 6 – with additional functionalities for hydraulics
