And it is indeed thanks to this multipurpose nature of mechatronic, that the exhibition can present itself as the showcase of innovative solutions that can be decisive in determining the efficiency and the flexibility of the enterprises of almost all the industrial sectors.

The event, organised by EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE and FIERA MILANO, is promoted and sponsored by the official representatives of the sectors on exhibition: AIdAM, Italian association of mechatronic automation; ASSODEL, national association of electronics suppliers; GISI, association of Italian Instrumentation companies; IMVG, Italian Machine Vision Group; SIRI, Italian association of robotics and automation, and UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the association of Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots, automation systems, and auxiliary products.

Sponsorship by the institutions of all the manufacturing sectors guarantees the value of the contents proposed by the exhibition, which are of interest for the whole of the Italian manufacturing chain.

The word to the promoters

“MECHA-TRONIKA TAKES ON THE HERITAGE OF AMMTECH AND BIMEC”

“MECHA-TRONIKA takes on the heritage of AmmTech and Bimec, two events that, following the development of the manufacturing sector and the production needs of the enterprises, have now been joined in one single exhibition, capable of presenting a much wider range of offers than the two individual solutions ever could separately” says Alessandro Torsoli, President of AIdam – Italian Association of Mechatronic Automation. “The Italian industrial automation sector has finally got an international showcase within its own territory, to promote and present its production range to a qualified public. In 2013 MECHA-TRONIKA, the exhibition of intelligences, will be the only specialized event in Europe that will involve the member companies of AIdAM and IMVG “.

“AN EXHIBITION THAT FILLS THE VOID IN THE ITALIAN TRADE FAIR MARKET…”

“As the President of E&IC association”, says Gianni Damian, Embedded & Industrial Computer Group, Assodel, which brings together the most important companies of the industrial PCs and embedded sector, “I am extremely in favour of an initiative of such importance, which fills a void in the exhibition framework. The hope is that in spite of current instability, companies will take part in this project, a new and innovative event in relation to the Italian offer.”

“…THE FIRST EVENT CONCEIVED FOR ALL THE MANUFACTURING COMPANIES AND ALL THE STAKEHOLDERS”

MECHA-TRONIKA is first of all a great sector support tool for the associate members of SIRI, the manufacturers of cutting edge technology in Italy, always renowned worldwide as main players within the sector” said Domenico Appendino, Vice President of SIRI, Italian Association of Robotics and Automation. “By being potentially relevant for all manufacturing companies, the event also offers, within one single occasion, the possibility of establishing contacts with operators and customers of all the industrial sectors where robotic and automation applications are required, even at international level”.

“MECHATRONIC PLAYS A KEY ROLE FOR THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM…”

“The topics, together with the technology on exhibition, and the targets in terms of visitors, mean that GISI sees MECHA-TRONIKA as an event that will certainly raise interest in the sector represented by the association,” said Sebastian Fabio Agnello, President GISI, Association of Italian Instrumentation Companies. “Industrial automation technology is today one of the most important driving factors in terms of production process innovation, a strategic component, strictly connected with what can be defined as equipment intelligence. And here is the key role taken on, as a whole, by the tools and the systems for the measurement and the analysis of the various process parameters – physical, chemical, or otherwise -, which, together with sensors, actuators, controllers, and communication systems, may be identified as the integrated nervous system on which the competitiveness of the manufacturing system depends” concluded President Agnello.

“…IT IS THE INNOVATIVE ELEMENT THAT WILL ENSURE THE EFFICIENCY OF MACHINE TOOLS AND THE OPTIMISATION OF OUR PLANTS”

“On a daily basis companies must be able to meet more and more stringent manufacturing, flexibility and product quality requirements. We are talking about requirements that traditional design processes, characterised by a strict succession of stages where the mechanical, electric, and information technology aspects are considered separately and in a sequence, are no longer able to satisfy. On the other hand, during the mechatronic approach, now implemented in all modern production sectors, mechanical, electrical, and information technology elements are considered in conjunction and at the same time. This obviously means that an integration of the competencies of the various application sectors is necessary, with a systemic vision of the design process, in order to produce machines that are more functional, efficient, compact, and reliable, while at the same time cheaper. Mechatronic is the innovative element for the production of machine tools with better performance. It represents the way forward in the optimisation of the way our plants are managed, and this is why I think the spotlight should be on this sector. MECHA-TRONIKA is the first step in this direction”. This are the words of Luigi Galdabini, President of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machine Tools, Robots, and Automation Systems.
