Baumer has seldom presented so many new sensor solutions at a trade fair as they will at the coming SPS IPC Drives between 26 and 28 November in Nuremberg. A visit to the Baumer stand (Hall 4A, Stand 335) at Europe’s leading trade fair for electric automation will be rewarding. Here is an overview of some product highlights:

HDmag flex – the encoder for rolling. This world-wide breakthrough revolutionizes position and speed measurement of large diameter shafts. Up to 3,183 mm dia. available at short notice. Easy to mount without mechanical adaptation. Precise position resolution up to 20 bits, largely independent of tolerances.

Baumer has further developed their new performance classes with the U500. With the U500 sensor, the portfolio of NextGen sensors has now been expanded to ultrasonic technology.
Factor 1 sensors offer the great advantage of maintaining the same sensing distance for all metals. Furthermore, they fear no comparison at large sensing distances and high speeds.
Baumer has expanded its series of MXU Board Level cameras by ten models that all meet the new USB3 Vision™ standard. They offer resolutions from VGA to 4 megapixels, high performance Sony CCD and CMOSIS sensors, easy plug and play linking and are suitable for minimal installation spaces, thanks to separate sensor boards.
OptoPulse, the new standard for incremental encoders, becomes programmable. The new EIL580P in the proven modular system enables any desired pulse rate from 1 to 65,536, programmable output level and signal sequence together with convenient zero pulse setting function. Easy handling, lowered storage costs and reduced downtime make the encoder perfect for distributors, motor manufacturers and service calls.
