Baumer brings numerous sensor innovations with additional benefits to this year’s SPS/IPC/Drives Nuremberg. This includes new products and further customer-oriented developments of existing sensor solutions.

A year ago, Baumer had — with the 0500 — its NextGenseries for cost-effective sensor solutions providing flexibility, safety and comfort. Baumer will present the hygiene and wash down version of this photoelectric sensor for the first time at SPS/IPC/Drives. This makes the 0500 an interesting alternative in, for example, the foods industry.

Baumer has extended its wide product range by one photoelectric and one ultrasound model. Both M18 sensors will be shown for the first time in Nuremberg. They are suitable for cost-efficient and reliable use in applications such as level measurement or in installation and handling technology. The uniform, robust housing design in both technologies means high flexibility in planning and installation. qTeachallows the sensor to be taught-in without causing wear simply by touching a ferromagnetic tool.

The optical PosCon 3D edge sensor will also be on show at the Baumer stand. With great reliability, the PosCon 3D does what could previously only be achieved by complex laser measurement systems and it also impresses with easy installation and operability. Its many features make the PosCon a versatile problem solver for the measurement of edge positions and object or gap widths. The sensor does not require a separate reflector. Within the measurement field, the object can move toward or away from the sensor without affecting the measurement result.
