The CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) will showcase its latest open network technology, CC-Link IE TSN, in action at SPS – Smart Production Solutions 2019. By combining Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) with gigabit bandwidth, CC-Link IE TSN has been established as the pioneer in TSN adoption for open industrial Ethernet development. This leadership position will be clearly demonstrated via products and solutions from CLPA’s key technology partners on Stand 106, in Hall 5 from 26th-28th November 2019, in Nuremberg, Germany.

CC-Link IE TSN’s technology leadership position was established at SPS/IPC/Drives 2018. Its launch announcement at the fair marked it as being the first open industrial Ethernet technology to combine open Gigabit Ethernet with TSN.

Visitors to the CLPA’s stand at SPS 2019 will see a live demonstration of a CC-Link IE TSN network environment. This will show how critical control data can be seamlessly integrated with TCP/IP traffic on gigabit Ethernet, enabled by TSN support. In this way, manufacturing industries can handle the large volumes of data that characterise Industry 4.0 applications as well as bridge information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) systems to achieve peak performance.

At the event, the CLPA will also present the comprehensive range of CC-Link IE TSN development options available. From chipsets to software stacks, these will help product developers to adopt and make the most of this new technology. As a result, end users will be able to implement an ideal migration path to move from current industrial Ethernet systems to future orientated TSN-based networks.

Visitors will be able to see how a continually increasing number of CLPA’s partners have committed to offer development options for automation vendors interested in adding CC-Link IE TSN connectivity to their products. Various CLPA partners, such as Hilscher, HMS, MESCO, port and SILA, will showcase how their technologies, products and services can assist device developers and manufacturers with this process.

John Browett, General Manager at CLPA Europe, comments: “The industry-leading role of CLPA is based on our ability to promptly address new and evolving industry needs. We were the first to offer gigabit bandwidth for open industrial Ethernet, and we followed this by being the first to combine this vital bandwidth with TSN.

“We look forward to sharing with SPS 2019 attendees the latest milestones and developments that are shaping the future of open industrial Ethernet with TSN. We invite anyone interested in learning more about how to develop CC-Link IE TSN compatible products or using the technology on the factory floor, to visit us at SPS
2019 in Hall 5, Stand 106.”
