The ZVEI (the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association) – the second largest industry association in Germany – has awarded Roland Bent, Phoenix Contact CTO, the Golden Badge of Honor for his many years of honorary services.
Roland Bent was a member of the board of directors of the ZVEI Fachverband Automation trade association from 2001 to 2020. In addition, he was active as an advisor, member of the board, and chairman of the board of the specialist field of switching devices, switchgear systems, and industrial controls during this 19-year period.
“His extraordinary commitment to the sustainability issues of renewable energies, e-mobility, and closed-loop recycling management in automation continues to shape the work of the trade association to this day,” the statement said.
