The standard focuses on Cybersecurity in industrial control systems with the main objective of reducing the risks that may affect the assets that generate value in an industrial environment or critical infrastructures.
One of the main security objectives of IEC 62443 is defense in depth, deepening the concepts raised by ISA99 and extending security to other areas from manufacturers to operators.
