With a wide range of displays, mini PLCs, I/O modules as well as sensors and transmitters, the Hanover-based company akYtec is presenting its current product range at SPS 2024 (November 12th to 14th). akYtec’s innovative solutions are ideal for use in automated processes and systems. A new cloud service for industrial applications rounds off the offer.
Typical of akYtec devices and modules are simple, intuitive operation and a compact design that allows for quick and easy integration into an existing infrastructure. This applies equally to small LED displays as well as more complex modules such as PLCs. The entire range of solutions can be seen at the akYtec exhibition stand in Hall 8, Stand 330. The focus is primarily on universally applicable LED displays, programmable relays, PLCs and the two akYtec lines of I/O modules for the common RS485 and Ethernet interfaces.
akYtec Cloud – monitoring and control via the Internet
As a new product at the trade fair, akYtec is showing its web-based cloud service, which can be used to control a variety of devices and systems remotely. akYtec Cloud will be available at the start of the trade fair; it connects connected devices and systems via a web interface or mobile devices. It is easy to use and users can adapt the cloud environment to individual requirements. For example, it is possible to create your own process maps using predefined symbols and to define numerous options for reports, performance indicators and diagrams.
akYtec Cloud offers a wide range of solutions for mechanical engineering, agricultural technology, automated production or other high-tech industries such as pharmaceuticals or medical technology. The cloud service can transmit data to any SCADA system that uses the OPC UA protocol. Important to know: The data is stored on servers located in the EU and comply with the current Tier III security standards.
Mini-PLC – programmable relay PR103
Another trade fair novelty is the programmable relay PR103 with Ethernet. The “mini PLC” from akYtec is primarily designed for use in smaller automated systems, e.g. in ventilation and heating systems as well as automated pumps. The PR103 can be used to control and monitor various processes. It offers 10 digital inputs, four fast digital inputs (up to 100 kHz) and six analog inputs, up to 10 digital and up to 2 analog outputs. In addition to Ethernet, there are 2 x RS485, and the connection is also possible via USB. The akYtec ALP software required for programming is free of charge, and the PR103 is compatible with akYtec Cloud.
SPC210 – PLC and HMI in one device
With the SPC210, akYtec is presenting a new product line of programmable controllers. The SPC210 combines the functionalities of a PLC and an HMI in a single compact device. Less hardware and easy installation simplify the architecture of automation systems, saving time and costs – both in initial investment and in long-term maintenance. The space-saving design enables more flexible use in automation cabinets.
The SPC210 has a variety of communication interfaces and protocols (Modbus, OPC UA and MQTT) for easy integration into industrial networks. Thanks to compatibility with akYtec’s Mx110 and Mx210 I/O modules, the combination device offers seamless upgrades and extensions without compatibility issues. It is programmed with the powerful CODESYS V3.5 environment and supports multiple programming languages, advanced debugging tools and an integrated visualization editor. The SPC210 is ideal for use in HVAC systems, water treatment plants, air conditioning systems and other public utility applications.
ITP Line – LED displays for process control
From the range of industrial displays, akYtec presents the ITP Line, a versatile series of displays for all types of data used for process monitoring and control. With their standard size, the ITP11, ITP14, ITP15 and ITP16 models fit into a 22.5 mm cutout, and the high-contrast display is available with either green or red LEDs. The displays offer high accuracy, protection class IP65 and can process a wide range of different signals such as 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, RTD, thermocouple. The standard interface is RS485 for MODBUS communication.
