Vision Components will be exhibiting at EuroBLECH from the 22nd to the 25th. In October in Hanover, the company developed a sensor for angle measurement in metal processing. In addition, VC is introducing a new ultra-compact OEM module, which allows companies to quickly and easily develop universal sensors for applications using laser triangulation (e.g. for inspecting glue beads or weld seams directly on the tool head).

Angle measurement sensor integrated by many machine manufacturers

The VC nano 3D-Z angle measurement sensor is optimized for sheet metal bending applications and works autonomously without an external computing unit. Bending machine manufacturers and sales partners can quickly and easily integrate it into new and existing systems, enabling them to adjust the bending process in real time. Leading press brake manufacturers such as Deratech, Doray and Placke already offer the sensor with their machines.

It is also integrated into controls such as Cybelec, Delem, ESA, Laimore and Step Automation, and only needs to be activated. No calibration is required. The sensor unit for angle measurement during sheet metal bending has a large detection range and can cover matrices from V6 to V200 in fixed mounting positions, with a typical measurement resolution of +/- 0.05° or better.

Ultra-compact OEM laser sensor

At Euroblech, Vision Components is presenting an OEM module for individual sensor development, which combines the proven technology of the VC nano 3D-Z triangulation sensor with a new arrangement of mirror elements for the camera and laser. This allows for the smallest possible format of only approximately 69 x 45 x 56 mm. The module with on-board data processing serves as the basis for the rapid development of individual sensors by OEMs and suppliers for applications such as testing adhesive beads or weld seams directly on the tool head.
