SPS/IPC/DRIVES has once again shown that it is the leading European electric automation technology trade fair. Almost 60,000 trade visitors converged on Nuremberg from November 27 – 29, with the mood in the halls characterised by a real working atmosphere: The automation industry was able to receive major economic stimuli for next year.
BARTEC, the safety technology company from Bad Mergentheim, Germany, and a long-standing exhibitor at the SPS/IPC/DRIVES, was also very satisfied with the trade fair. “The SPS/IPC/DRIVES has continually developed into the most important European automation technology trade fair,“ says Dr Ralf Köster, BARTEC’s CEO. “For BARTEC, it’s the ideal platform to present our innovative power and efficiency. This is attested to by the huge number of interesting and substantial discussions we always seem to have at this trade fair.“
Explosion-proof automation technology was one of the things BARTEC’s presentation focused upon. It showed innovative solutions for visualisation and mobile communications. Be it widescreen operating terminals with LED displays or mobile computers with barcode scanners: BARTEC will gear successful technologies for general use to explosion-prone applications. And a special highlight was a flexible remote I/O solution for the Ex segment that, for the first time, would allow plant manufacturers to plan and design its system freely and to install it by itself into a standard industrial casing in accordance with the general installation procedures for explosion-prone environments.
