Sensor specialist Baumer has expanded its Smart Vision portfolio to include a powerful code and text reader. The compact IDC230 features the same ease of use and commissioning that the recently launched IDC200 multi-code reader is known for.
Simplified integration and commissioning
In addition to the easy installation of the handheld device, a particular advantage is the time-saving commissioning via the web interface. Unlike most conventional code and text readers, no special software is required to install the IDC230. Time-consuming installation approvals by in-house IT departments are a thing of the past. A well-thought-out user menu combined with smart installation accessories ensures fast and easy commissioning.
The multi-code reader can be easily connected to a computer via the USB-C port and operated via a web interface. Thanks to the automatic setup, several different codes can be read with just one click. The space-saving housing, the right accessories, Ethernet and USB-C interfaces, Profinet, Ethernet/IP and DIO protocols make integration easy. Thanks to the freely configurable data telegrams, code readers from the IDC family (IDC230, IDC200) can be easily integrated into existing systems and adapted to your individual data formats. Based on the same innovative technology platform as the IDC200 multi-code reader, the IDC230 is capable of reading multiple lines of text and 1D/2D codes in parallel at high speed. The IDC230 can process up to 40 images per second, including a wide range of code types. Thanks to the bright integrated lighting, even demanding applications can be solved without external lighting, saving additional costs and effort.
With the new IDC230 from its multi-code reader series, Baumer offers the right solution for applications in industrial automation that require simultaneous text reading, such as label checking.
