As the world’s leading industrial exhibition, Hannover Messe 2016 provides the premier platform for Industrie 4.0 and highlights the progress towards ‘Integrated Industry’, making it truly tangible. The Beckhoff presence in Hanover is in line with this year’s lead theme ‘Discover Solutions’ and can be found in several areas of the exhibition grounds, focusing on IoT and Industrie 4.0. At the Beckhoff main booth in Hall 9, visitors can explore the expanded Industrie 4.0 forum. Spanning 1,000 square meters, Beckhoff will demonstrate basic technologies and ready-to-use products for the smart factory.

TwinCAT Analytics records industrial data synchronously with the process cycle and serves as the basis for comprehensive analytics. TwinCAT IoT supports common protocols used in cloud communication and enables easy-to-configure connections between the Internet of Things and the Internet of Services. In addition, visitors can see the latest Beckhoff innovations such as EtherCAT P and TwinCAT HMI, and the new terminal integrating high-end measurement technology.

Industrie 4.0 from Beckhoff: Four times at Hannover Messe
Under the motto ‘Discover Solutions’, Beckhoff will focus this year’s exhibits on concrete solutions for ‘Integrated Industry’ in no less than four locations: At the Industrie 4.0 forum on the main booth in Hall 9, Booth F06, Beckhoff will present live demonstrations of products supporting analytics, big data, and IoT communication.
As part of the booth for the ‘it’s OWL’ technology network (Hall 16, Booth A04), Beckhoff will demonstrate the current state of ‘Scientific Automation’ and ‘eXtreme Fast Automation’, both of which are BMBF-funded leading-edge cluster research projects.
A showcase of SAP, Beckhoff and other technology partners in Hall 7, Booth C04, will feature a live application that demonstrates the close interaction between production processes and business administration workflows. Its foundation will be the XTS (eXtended Transport System) from Beckhoff. The SAP software communicates directly with the XTS on the basis of standardised services.
As a Microsoft Gold Partner, Beckhoff will present its new IoT products such as its easy and secure link between the automation and field levels and the Azure™ cloud at Microsoft’s booth in Hall 7, Booth C40.

Experience ‘Integrated Industry’ now: The Industrie 4.0 forum
All applications with Beckhoff PC control technology are essentially ready for Industrie 4.0 today. The new specific IoT and Industrie 4.0 products from Beckhoff make using these features even easier. The complete process control mappings which can be generated from the control technology make it easy for the user to assess the various machines and systems. Extensive Industrie 4.0 features are available at the click of a button. All of this is made possible by a variety of new products. TwinCAT Analytics provides the foundation for predictive maintenance and machine optimisation.

Complete acquisition and analysis of process data: TwinCAT Analytics
The smart factory introduces numerous requirements regarding online and offline state analysis, predictive maintenance, pattern recognition, machine optimisation, and long-term data archiving. This requires data capture to be as continuous as possible and in sync with the processing cycle. That is exactly why Beckhoff developed TwinCAT Analytics software. All process data can be provided as needed, either locally or as a cloud-based solution on a server, whether on your own corporate network or in a public cloud.

For fast and standardised cloud communication: TwinCAT IoT
With its new TwinCAT IoT solution, Beckhoff supports standardised protocols for cloud communications and for sending push messages to smart devices. Quick and easy to configure, TwinCAT IoT provides a variety of functions for exchanging process data via widely-used communication protocols such as AMPQ, MQTT, and OPC UA, and for accessing special data and communication services that belong either to public clouds or local systems.
