This user guide explains how to use Beckhoff TwinCAT NCI or CNC together with Triamec EtherCAT Servo Drives.
Before you can use a drive with TwinCAT, it must be configured using the TAM system explorer. Triamec offers a launch package for the integration of TwinCAT over EtherCAT on the website
TwinCAR NC – Select NC – Configuration if you want to use the NCI module.
It offers the possibility of point-to-point movements in the software. Axes are represented by axis objects and offer a cyclic interface, for example to the PLC. This axis object is then linked to a corresponding physical axis. The axes are configured in the TwinCAT System Manager.
TwinCAT CNC – Select CNC – Configuration if you want to use the CNC module.
It offers the possibility of implementing interpolation with up to 32 simultaneously interpolated axes. The number of axes and/or the number of channels can be adapted to the application requirements using optional packages. Various transformations can be completed using optional packages. Programming is carried out according to DIN 66025. Axes and channels are configured in TwinCAT Engineering.
