In modern industry, complex requirements such as legal requirements, sustainability standards, and the continuous need for process optimization cannot be solved using proprietary systems. Open platforms and co-creation make it possible to pool competencies and offer comprehensive modular solutions.
Bosch Rexroth will be showcasing what the automation of the future looks like at SPS stand 450 in hall 7. Under the motto “Two Steps Ahead – The ctrlX AUTOMATION Show”, the company will provide an insight into what the world of automation looks like for Bosch Rexroth. is evolving and what benefits openness, partner integration and joint development bring.
“Growth and change cannot be solved by technology alone. That’s why we’ve created a world of automation that is open to anyone who wants to participate, connecting people, ideas and innovation. We’ll be presenting what this looks like in practice together with our partners at this year’s SPS,” explains Steffen Winkler, senior vice president of the Sales Business Unit Automation and Electrification Solutions at Bosch Rexroth.
The open world of automation is continuously growing and becoming more diverse
The central element is the ctrlX AUTOMATION automation system, which offers all the building blocks of a comprehensive automation solution, from controllers, I/O, IPC, HMI, drives and safety solutions to extensive motion, PLC and IoT capabilities. At the trade fair, Bosch Rexroth will be showcasing proven new features, such as even greater performance and safety. The compatible Linux-based operating system ctrlX OS takes co-creation in the world of automation to a new level. The secure system has numerous interfaces and standards, offering maximum access to all kinds of partner integration and automation technologies. At SPS, Bosch Rexroth is presenting the broad capabilities of ctrlX OS and its ecosystem.
Part of the ecosystem is the partner network ctrlX World, which expands the range of solutions. Partners offer their strengths and solutions in the form of additional software available in the ctrlX OS store. The number of apps is constantly growing. Partners also complement their portfolios with ctrlX OS-compatible hardware, which increases the variety of automation solutions that can be used in various industries. Eleven partners will present their solutions live at the Bosch Rexroth stand at SPS.
Motion systems in use – increasing efficiency at various levels
Bosch Rexroth motion systems complete the automation portfolio. Anyone interested can experience the solutions for optimal and highly efficient material and goods flows in intralogistics live at SPS. These include the ctrlX FLOW6D planar system for contact-free, high-performance transport and positioning and the high-speed ctrlX FLOWHS system for transport and positioning in modern factories.
Bosch Rexroth will also be showcasing energy-efficient solutions with ctrlX AUTOMATION, including comprehensive tools and models for energy and performance simulation for optimized system design. The portfolio is complemented by product-specific features such as Smart Energy Modes in ctrlX DRIVE. Product overhauls play an important role in the careful use of resources. The “Remanufactured Products” program aims to extend the service life of old parts by remanufacturing them rather than discarding them. Bosch Rexroth will be showcasing these and other solutions from the world of automation at stand 450 in hall 7 and will be hosting three live shows per day with highlights from various subject areas.
