Bosch Rexroth has revised its EcoSafe modular system for protective fences and enclosures, optimizing cost-effectiveness, flexibility and system safety. Additional frame profiles, easy-to-install direct plates and connectors reduce assembly efforts and allow new installations, conversion projects and extensions to be implemented faster. The free planning software MTpro accelerates planning with numerous design aids, automatically generated parts lists and the option to order directly in the Rexroth online shop.
Variable production requires standard-compliant safety devices in the production environment that can be used and changed quickly, cost-effectively and flexibly. The extended EcoSafe modular system from Bosch Rexroth takes these complex requirements into account and is compatible with both the previous modular system and the Rexroth aluminum profile modular system. The new basic component is a slim and stable aluminium frame profile of 22.5 x 45 mm.
Fast assembly with prefabricated direct panels
The new frame profile enables assembly teams to work faster, especially when assembling linear protective fences. In addition to the hanging panels, the EcoSafe series also includes “direct panels” which allow for fast installation. They are available pre-assembled from stock and can be assembled in a very short time. Two adjacent direct panels are connected at the bottom via a new universal foot and at the top via a robust fixing cap and are fixed with just a few screws according to the standard. The new universal base can hold two protective frame profiles (22.5 x 45 mm) or one standard profile (45 x 45 mm) and is attached to the floor with two anchor bolts without drilling according to the standard. This reduces the time required by about 60%. For non-linear arrangements, the foot provides a kind of hinge function to adjust the angle between the guards.
State-of-the-art device security
Bosch Rexroth has also optimized stability and device security. All protective grilles have welded wire and are fixed to the frame profile using toothed grooves. This means that the grid can absorb significantly more energy than the 115 joules required by the standard. Thanks to the tested performance data, it is no longer necessary to check the load-bearing capacity separately. The new steel hanging brackets increase the stability of the protection fence with hanging panels.
Black protection grille and individual dimensions
For a flicker-free display of the protection area, the improved EcoSafe protection grille is optionally available in black. It ensures a continuous ground clearance of 150 mm, ensuring the maximum value of 180 mm required by the standard even on uneven surfaces. With EcoSafe standard elements you can quickly and easily create protective fences in various sizes. The standard frame height available in stock is 2,000 mm including ground clearance. This covers the vast majority of possible applications. Standard widths are 500, 750, 1,000, 1,500 and 2,000 mm.
Special sizes of protective fences can also be ordered using the configurable field number. For special configurations, the frame height can be 400 to 2,500 mm and the width 250 to 2,500 mm. Floor-to-floor distances of 100 to 250 mm are possible. For suspended elements, the ground clearance depends on the arrangement of the connectors.
