Comau will present its latest developments for smart manufacturing at Hannover Messe Digital 2021 (April 12-16), reflecting its HUMANufacturing approach to Industry 4.0. At the virtual booth, attendees can discover Comau’s collaborative, wearable technologies and electrification-enabling solutions designed to increase productivity and efficiency within the Smart Factory.

Launched in 2021, Racer-5 COBOT is a 6-axis articulated cobot with a 5 kg payload and 809 mm reach, that can automatically switch from industrial robot speed to collaborative speed in complete safety. Developed to meet the demand for fast, cost-effective collaborative robots, it can be used in restricted spaces for various applications. Comau will also showcase its new MATE-XT exoskeleton, designed to support workers in industrial, non-industrial and outdoor environments. It’s the only commercially-available exoskeleton with EAWS certification, attesting to its proven ability to reduce biomechanical loads during strenuous tasks. Comau’s portfolio of innovative solutions for advanced industrial automation, digitalization and electrification are also on display, including: in.Grid, the IIot platform that enables data analysis and real-time monitoring of equipment and systems; MI.RA/Thermography, an in-line testing and quality control system to optimize industrial-scale battery manufacturing by using thermal imaging and artificial intelligence; the highly specialized Comau Laser Lab, which offers advanced operational solutions in electrification for end-to-end battery and motor manufacturing.

For machining, the SmartDrive solutions deliver fast, precise and flexible machining processes, while Urane 25, a horizontal machining center with linear motors and electric spindles, ensures high-speed performance and stable, long-term accuracy. Finally, Comau’s e.DOTM Experience platform, which uses robotics as an engaging learning tool thanks to the interactive and open-source e.DO robot, will be on display.
