The new BIS VM high-frequency read/write head with IO-Link from Balluff records large data quantities at a high transmission speed and features an extremely compact block-style housing. Measuring just 20 x 8 x 32 mm, it is ideal for space-saving installation and identification of small data carriers (DIN ISO 15693; High Speed/High Memory). Securely packaged in a metal housing and featuring IP 67 protection, it can be used in harsh industrial environments. Installation directly on metal with no clear zone is permitted. With a standardized 4-pin, M12 connector and IO-Link, connection is quick and easy, with two highly visible LEDs for indicating operating status.
The new read/write head is especially efficient when used together with the Balluff BIS V processor unit. The BIS V is available worldwide for any common bus system and can connect with up to four components. Both HF (13.56 MHz) in accordance with ISO 15693 and ISO 14443 as well as LF (40…455 kHz) read heads can be connected simultaneously from the front via plug-and-play . In addition, UHF antennas for short range band can also be integrated. With that a single variant of the RFID processor will be sufficient to construct an all-encompassing RFID structure within a company.
Balluff is known for their diverse range of industrial RFID products that can be used for a wide variety of applications. A special feature: With the Balluff RFID Configurator on the company’s website you can assemble your individual RFID system online in must a few clicks. Whether you begin by selecting the transponder, read/write heads or processor unit, the appropriate mating components are always shown.
