In this application example it is shown how to work with the Openness add-in SINAMICS G120X Basic Setup in TIA Portal to parametrize two SINAMICS G120X demo-cases from a PLC. Besides others, in this solution, the PLC has also a role of a local storage center. I.e. the data necessary to make remote setup of the G120X converters are stored here and can be used anytime in a future. For example in a case of a converter replacement. The parametrization is done via PROFINET using Acyclic communication.
