YBES safety light curtains from Contrinex protect hands and fingers in safety-critical environments. The sensor specialist has developed the YBES Extended Slim Type 4 version specifically for use in mechanical presses. The light curtains have a housing profile of just 26 mm x 26 mm and can therefore be installed to save space and without blind zones.
Due to their compact design and resolution of 30 mm, the YBES Extended Slim Type 4 safety light curtains are ideal for use on mechanical presses. By using the light curtains, operators no longer have to open physical safety gates or fences before loading or unloading the press. This saves time and increases productivity.
The YBES Extended Slim Type 4 safety light curtains have protective field heights of 170 mm to 1610 mm available. They meet the requirements of protection category 4, PLe (EN/ISO 13849-1) and SIL 3 (IEC 61508). All YBES Extended Slim Type 4 safety light curtains also have TÜV, CE and UL certification.
Since the safety light curtains also have an EDM input with relay monitoring function, users save the costs of wired relays. Using the integrated Bluetooth® interface and the ContriApp from Contrinex, the light curtains can not only be configured quickly and easily, but also continuously monitored. The light curtains are also protected against overload and short circuits. They are connected to each other using a standard M12 pigtail.
