Delta announced a major advancement in robotics simulation. Its flagship D-Bot series of collaborative robots (cobots) has been integrated into NVIDIA Omniverse, a platform of application programming interfaces (APIs), software development kits and services that enable developers to use Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) and NVIDIA Isaac Sim, an Omniverse-based reference simulation platform for physical AI-robot design and testing. This integration enables developers to create highly accurate, physically accurate simulations in real time that dramatically improve the development, testing and deployment of advanced robotic solutions.
“The integration with NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim represents a transformational step forward for the Delta D-Bot (collaborative robot) and our entire robotics portfolio,” said Michael Mayer-Rosa, senior director, Industrial Automation Business Group, Delta Electronics EMEA region. “By leveraging these cutting-edge technologies, our customers will experience exceptional simulation accuracy and collaborative capabilities, helping them bring sophisticated robotics solutions to market faster and with more confidence.”
This integration will enable Delta D-Bot users in industries including manufacturing, logistics and healthcare to simulate real-world conditions with unprecedented accuracy. By minimizing the need for physical prototypes and reducing development costs, companies can reduce time to market, improve product reliability, and accelerate innovation cycles. NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim’s photorealistic rendering and AI-powered physics enable developers to run highly complex simulations before real-world deployment, reducing risk and improving overall performance.
With Omniverse’s interoperability capabilities and Isaac Sim’s advanced robotics simulation tools, Delta D-Bot users can accelerate their development workflows, validate robot software stacks and associated behaviors in a virtual environment, and execute complex projects more quickly.
