Delta, a global leading provider of power and thermal management solutions, today announced to acquire a total of 28,825,000 existing and (through subscription) newly-issued shares of Atrust Computer Corp., equal to 55% of its total shares, for approximately NT$950 million. Atrust is expected to become Delta’s subsidiary after the transaction is complete(1). Taiwan-based Atrust provides advanced and customized computing systems, including thin client, zero client, remote PC array, management software and system integration services. The aforementioned transaction is expected to generate substantial synergies by leveraging both companies’ capabilities and R&D prowess to ultimately broaden Delta’s comprehensive ICT infrastructure solutions, which are accelerating the digital transformation of smart green cities.
Mr. Victor Cheng, Delta’s Executive Vice President of Infrastructure Business, said, “The fast adoption of 5G and IoT technologies and the current pandemic-derived global transformation are accelerating the demand of data centers and cloud computing. By leveraging its core competencies in high-efficiency power electronics and system integration, Delta provides energy-efficient ICT infrastructure solutions, including networking, power systems, thermal management, and environmental monitoring, that have been fostering the rapid growth of telecom networks and data centers worldwide for decades. Atrust’s excellent design and integration capability in computing hardware and software systems will enable Delta to offer a comprehensive solution portfolio to fulfill our customers’ dynamic needs.”
Mr. H.T. Cho, Atrust’s President, said, “Atrust’s objective ‘to provide customers with high-quality, high-efficiency and environment-friendly products as well as comprehensive solutions’, is highly consistent with Delta’s corporate mission ‘To provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions for a better tomorrow.’ We believe that Delta’s diverse product portfolio, global channels, and advantages in supply chain and manufacturing, will optimize our costs, expand our market horizons, and help us bring even more quality and efficiency to our customers.”
Atrust’s Thin Client and Zero Client solutions are the endpoint of cloud computing. They process and store all the data on the server through internet connection, making them simple, light, safe and easy to maintain. Integrating CPU, memory, storage (SSD), network switch and management software, Atrust’s Remote PC Array can replace the traditional Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) while considerably reducing the complexity and cost of deployment.
