The new CEBIT display sector titled “Digitized Services” will rely on interactive formats to help illuminate five user industries/areas with a strong service orientation: Public Administration, Future Mobility, Financial Services, Health and Retail, all of which are regarded as drivers of digitization. The aim of the new display sector is to encourage an even greater degree of networking and idea-sharing among providers, users, political representatives, associations and the media. Which is why CEBIT – taking place in the summer of 2019 (24 to 28 June) – will provide exhibiting enterprises and the interested public with a variety of new, interactive participation formats.

“Digitized Services” will be strategically located between “IT & Cyber Security” and “Data Analytics & Management” – two key technologies and display sectors at CEBIT – in order to best exploit the synergies between them and showcase the widest possible range of services for digitizing the respective user industries.

The creation of this new display sector makes CEBIT the first event to successfully combine industry-specific requirements with overarching digital technologies like artificial intelligence, security, blockchain, payment solutions and service robotics, featuring all of these in a holistic context.

But “Digitized Services” is about more than just highlighting digital innovations – it also encourages industry representatives to formulate and discuss their requirements and actively contribute to the germination of future developments.

Several d!talk stages will address both the five user industries and the two key technologies. At least one summit featuring representatives from business, science, society and politics will be staged for each topic. The summits are primarily dedicated to knowledge transfer, exposure of best practices and debate and discussion on relevant content and controversial theses.

Deutsche Messe, the organizer of CEBIT, has developed several new participation formats designed especially for “Digitized Services”. At the Security Workshop, user companies can discuss their respective industry requirements with a security provider, while the “Battle of Theories” highlights various studies on a given topic before putting the different findings up for discussion. The Guided Visits take attendees to relevant stations addressing the five user industries at CEBIT, while the Innovation Camp invites visitors to take part in developing solutions to digitization issues in small groups, with a graphic recorder capturing the results.

The new “Digitized Services” sector at CEBIT also bridges the gap to the “scale11” startup ecosystem in Hall 27, where young companies from the five user industries can present themselves and network with potential investors and established companies. In addition, startups can apply to make a targeted corporate pitch. If your company is on the lookout for new ideas and leads in your field of business, you can participate in the scale11 “Business Speed Dating” event. Here, too, the five user industries will serve as the thematic framework.
