Electric cylinders can be positioned very easily and precisely with high repeatability. The linear drives are not only used in indoor applications, but increasingly also in outdoor applications. The solution provider RK Rose+Krieger has recognized this trend. With its LD series, it offers electric cylinders that are suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
RK Rose+Krieger offers a wide range of electric cylinders, from simple short-stroke cylinders with a very good price/performance ratio to heavy-duty linear cylinders. The robust components of the LD series are designed for both indoor applications in industry and for outdoor use, for example in the agricultural sector or for mobile machines.
Thanks to the trapezoidal spindle drive, electric cylinders are self-locking linear drives. This means that when at a standstill, no energy needs to be supplied for the electric cylinder to remain in its position. Another advantage of electric cylinders is their low-maintenance and leak-free operation, as they do not require hydraulic fluids or compressed air. The LD series also offers numerous positive properties. For example, its cylinders are designed with a special seal in protection class IP69K (static). This means that they can also be easily cleaned with a high-pressure steam jet cleaner. They also offer numerous electronic features. Among other things, the stroke and speed can be adjusted. The selection and configuration of the drives can be done conveniently using an online tool.
LD series: compact, robust and powerful
The LD75 electric cylinder is specially designed for use under extreme conditions, such as those found in agricultural machinery, off-highway vehicles, municipal machinery or the offshore sector. Ambient temperatures of -40 to 85 °C have no effect on the electric cylinder, nor can the strong vibrations of a construction machine. Thanks to the high protection class of IP69K (static), the housing can even easily withstand the jet of a high-pressure/steam jet cleaner. The LD75 is available for a maximum tensile and compressive force of up to 750 N and a maximum stepless stroke of up to 130 mm at travel speeds of up to 50 mm/s.
The LD1000 linear drive is a maintenance-free, high-performance drive of the latest generation, which is available in two versions with protection class IP69K (static). The LD1000C model variant (with controller) has a control system that is fully integrated into the housing and can be updated, and is suitable for the synchronous operation of several drives, among other things. The identical LD1000E model is equipped with limit switches instead of the controller. The LD1000 is available for a stroke of up to 1,000 mm and a maximum force of 10,000 N at speeds of up to 156 mm/s. It guarantees safe use in cold and hot temperatures between -20 and +65 °C.
