The embedded world Exhibition&Conference opens its doors for the twelfth time from 25–27 February 2014. It is the world’s biggest event for embedded systems technology and the knowledge tank for one of the most innovative sectors. Two of the most renowned conferences take place parallel to the leading exhibition: the embedded world Conference and the electronic displays Conference. David Kleidermacher, a proven expert on system software and security and author of the book “Embedded Systems Security”, will give the keynote at this year’s embedded world Conference.

David Kleidermacher, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the operating system and development tools provider Green Hills Software, tackles the topic of security in the Internet of Things in his keynote at the conference. Despite believing the “Internet of Things” to be a natural evolution for embedded systems, Kleidermacher sees the rapid assimilation of trillions of objects into the Internet over the next decades as posing an unprecedented privacy and security challenge that must be dealt with in advance. His presentation will discuss these challenges, offer a security strategy for developers to meet them, and demonstrate the technical and economic competitive advantages for secure Things in the Internet-of-Things.

As CTO at Green Hills Software, David Kleidermacher is responsible for technology strategy, platform planning and solution design. He is regarded as a proven expert on system software and security, operating systems, and virtualization. Kleidermacher graduated in computer sciences at Cornell University in 1991.
