GEORG SCHLEGEL has expanded its Shortron connect series with an emergency stop switch and a membrane switch, which can be used in hygiene-sensitive areas. And, as with all “connect” series, the new control devices are equipped with an integrated M12 connector.

The FRVKPOOI_C112 emergency stop and the SVAFTLI_C005 pushbutton are specially designed for use in hygienic areas. They have no corners, edges, or gaps where dirt or germs can accumulate. Thanks to the high IP69K protection rating and the use of high-quality materials, such as stainless steel, the products are easy to clean, remain sterile, and are hygienic.

The emergency stop with yellow bellows has two normally closed contacts and one normally open contact. The M12 connector is 5-pin and A-coded. The rated operating voltage is 35 V AC/DC and the rated operating current is 2 A AC/DC.

One Million Switching Cycles

The illuminated membrane switch with a stainless steel front bezel features a normally open contact and a 4-pin, A-coded M12 connector. Upon request, the membrane switch can also be equipped with a symbol. Its service life is up to 1 million switching cycles.

For special applications, the pushbutton is also available with an FDA-compliant, blue seal, as typically used in hygienic areas (SVAFTPLI_C005). The rated operating voltage is 35 V AC/DC and the rated operating current is 4 A AC or 2 A DC. Both the pushbutton and the emergency stop are also DGUV-approved.

Plug & Work

As with all SCHLEGEL “connect” series, the new control devices are equipped with an integrated M12 connector, enabling quick and easy connection according to the Plug & Work principle. This saves time and costs, as no specialist personnel are required for installatio
