FSG Fernsteuergeräte presents innovations in sensor technology for different areas of application: the sensor technology specialist is represented with an exciting trade fair program at SPS 2022, the international trade fair for industrial automation from November 8th to 10th, 2022 in Nuremberg. FSG highlights include an innovative anemometer with integrated obstruction or hazard lights and the new draw-wire sensor series, which is characterized by a particularly compact design.

As one of the leading manufacturers of measuring and sensor technology, FSG surprises the industry at the SPS with innovations and further developments that once again have the potential to set new standards in their area of application:

Anemometer with LED light unit – now also as an emergency light variant

“Two in one” is the concept of the wind sensors from FSG, which are characterized by a small footprint and reduced installation and maintenance effort: The sensor technology specialist combines the wind sensors with an LED lighting unit in a way that is unique to date. The previously available version consisting of anemometer and LED obstacle light is now being supplemented by the new, approved version as an AN60-GF2000 hazard light, which is available in different versions. The new anemometer has a motor-controlled tracking system that always aligns it fully automatically in a horizontal position. The redundant light system ensures a constant light intensity of 2000 cd: This means that the device is ICAO-compliant and can also be used near airports at heights of 100 meters or more.

The integration of the LED lighting unit solves the problem of shading in conventional combination systems: Up to now, depending on the positioning of both devices, either the light signal or the cup star of the anemometer was shadowed by the other element, which led to measurement errors or limited visibility. Thanks to the unique combined design developed by FSG – the light signal sits at the bottom as a base for the wind turbine – both functions can develop their full potential.

New draw-wire sensor series SL00R

The new SL00R series of tried-and-tested draw-wire sensors from FSG is particularly space-saving and robust: Designers benefit from the compact, narrow dimensions and low weight, comparable to the BASIC series SL00 from FSG. At the same time, the draw-wire sensors are characterized by a particularly robust design that corresponds to the properties of the SL 3000 premium series: The draw-wire sensors have a protective metal housing that offers numerous mounting options for installation. With additional deflection rollers, they offer highly flexible installation options. Draw-wire sensors from FSG are perfectly matched to the in-house encoders as standard. But even when equipped with commercially available sensors from other manufacturers, they impress with their outstanding performance and precision.

These and many other innovative sensor technology products await visitors to FSG Fernsteuergeräte at the SPS in Hall 4A, Stand 351. The FSG team looks forward to talking to partners, customers and interested parties in person
