Automated production processes require innovative load control and precise knowledge of all process variables. At the SPS 2023 in Nuremberg, the specialist for industrial automation and process monitoring GEFRAN will present its smart components and solutions for industry.
GEFRAN has developed the GRx power controller family specifically for controlling industrial heating applications. These intelligent controls are scalable in terms of both performance and characteristics and are essential for the operation of electric heating elements.
Compact and robust measuring systems are required in mobile hydraulics. The pressure transmitters of the KM series from GEFRAN designed for this area are characterized by an extremely compact design, low weight and high robustness.
GRZ-H – New three-phase solid state relays
The new solid state relay series GRZ-H (Solid State Relays, SSR) was designed for the control of three-phase heaters. Outstanding features of this series include:
- Three-pole control for full control of all three phases
- Two-pole control (economy circuit) with looped-through third phase (reduced thermal power loss)
- Integrated protection against overtemperature and overvoltage.
In order to be able to detect errors, the SSR offers a large number of monitoring and diagnostic options. The series is available for currents from 10 to 75 A per phase and AC voltages up to 600 V.
GRM-H – Ultra-compact power controller
Equipped with an IO-Link interface, the GRM-H series offers single-phase power controllers that also enable control of three-phase loads in a master/slave configuration. They are equipped with all important operating modes – zero crossing, pulse group operation, half waves and phase control – so that the control can be adapted to the different properties of the heating elements.
The devices are characterized by a wide current range from 15 A to 120 A and easy installation. They also enable the control of linear and non-linear loads (MoSi2, SiC SWIR, graphite and transformers).
GRP-H – Single-phase solid-state relays with IO-Link
The GRP-H single-phase solid-state relays are available for a current range of 15 A to 120 A. They support the digital IO-Link protocol and, in addition to advanced functions for monitoring electrical resistance, also offer highly developed diagnostic tools for the early detection of partial load interruptions.
Designed for linear and non-linear ohmic resistances, the GRP-H semiconductor relays can handle all operating modes such as zero crossing, pulse group operation, half waves and phase control.
KM – pressure transmitter for mobile hydraulics
The KM series pressure transmitters, designed in IP69K, set standards in robustness, compactness and low weight: they are only 5 cm long, weigh only 50 g and offer impressive shock resistance of up to 100 g and vibration resistance of up to 20 g.
Another advantage is the high electromagnetic interference immunity of up to 100 V/m. These properties make them ideal for use in construction machines and vehicles, cranes, lifting platforms, commercial vehicles and racing boats, among other things.
