Hiwin HB bridge axes feature a uniquely designed, self-supporting reinforced aluminum extrusion profile. The linear module, which is especially resistant to bending and torsion, is ideal for the continuous motion of heavy masses with stringent requirements for dynamic performance. Based on the application, the heavy-duty axes may be set up with three distinct drive types: toothed belt, linear motor, and rack and pinion drive.
Capable of handling a payload of up to 350 kg and featuring a torsional rigidity that is ten times greater than Hiwin table axes, even the heaviest loads can be transported over extended distances without assistance.
Whether for the swift management and accurate placement of sizable automotive parts, large-scale wood and glass elements, or for the agile, repeatable high-efficiency assembly of battery modules, in the packaging sector or in joining and loading systems – numerous heavy-load applications can be achieved.
The linear modules can be set up with a stroke that may be freely chosen in millimetre increments across a maximum length of 5 m, utilizing a limit switch or an encoder system. In specific instances, extra lengths of up to 16 m may also be designated.
