OEMs increasingly relocate more functions into software. The available computing power of the control hardware is a decisive parameter for possible range of functions and shorter cycle times. With the upgrade to IndraControl L75 with a multi-core processor, Bosch Rexroth increases the performance of the control hardware by more than 25 percent at the same price in comparison to IndraControl L65. With this, the motion logic systems can increase their productivity further.
IndraControl L75 expands the performance scaling of the controller-based control units in top hat rail format by Rexroth. Due to the full functional compatibility with the other versions, OEMs can scalable adjust the control hardware to the respective jobs. Machine concepts can therefore modularized more freely. Depending on the configuration of the machines, the manufacturers can map for example different numbers of axes or functionalities without additional programming effort. At the same time, the increased computing power also guarantees shortest cycle times even with complex motion tasks for higher productivity.
Rexroth supports this with fast on-board I/O and simple expandability with inline I/O component groups as well as functional modules, for example a cam controller or real time cross-communication with other control units. The IndraControl L controller family flexibly integrates into diverse automation structures. With its Multi-Ethernet interface it supports the real time protocols Sercos, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET RT as well as the fieldbus connection via PROFIBUS.
The control platform forms the hardware foundation for the motion logic systems IndraLogic XLC for simple to sophisticated PLC applications, IndraMotion MLC for complex motion applications, as well as IndraMotion MTX for CNC applications. All Rexroth control units support the option of using high-level language programming for Industry 4.0 applications beyond standard CODESYS V3-based PLC programming. With it, users are able to create customized functions in their preferred development environment. They can access firmware functions directly and independently from the PLC machine program even from external devices
