At HANNOVER MESSE, a variety of exhibitors will showcase how AI solutions are applied in practical scenarios. Furthermore, AI trends and applications will be showcased and debated on prominent platforms and during masterclasses. For the first time, HANNOVER MESSE will provide an interactive, web-based Dynamic Tour that leads attendees to the most thrilling AI features of the event. This will enable visitors to investigate practical applications in fields like production, robotics, and energy, all at their own speed.

Artificial Intelligence for small and medium enterprises (SMEs)

At the Mittelstand-Digital booth in Hall 17, attendees from the SME sector can experience digital solutions and AI applications firsthand and arrange talks with specialists from Mittelstand-Digital and the German Network of European Digital Innovation Hubs. Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) is offering free access to all Mittelstand-Digital services. Visitors are urged to take Mittelstand-Digital’s AI Readiness Check beforehand to receive a thorough evaluation of their strengths and potential, along with personalized suggestions for enhancing their AI maturity.

Here is a collection of AI instances showcased at the event:

Siemens will showcase innovative solutions for the pharmaceutical sector, emphasizing the incorporation of industrial AI into drug manufacturing. The development of a digital twin for current facilities is enabled by what are referred to as industrial copilots. Siemens’ industrial copilot for the TIA Portal serves as a generative AI-powered assistant for automation engineers utilizing the TIA Portal. It assists engineers in producing SCL code more quickly, addressing engineering inquiries, and developing HMI visualizations.

Aleph Alpha will conduct a masterclass showcasing how generative AI can enhance essential business processes by 30 percent. The company will provide insights from various customer projects and their execution in production.

The German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) will demonstrate how autonomous robots can be effectively trained in the future. A primary emphasis here is on simulations intended to provide an experiential basis for intelligent autonomous robotic systems. These simulations allow neural networks to be trained and algorithms created based on model predictive control, enabling robots to carry out tasks autonomously.

Plattform Industrie 4.0

At the collaborative booth, different presenters will show how businesses can tap into opportunities for new service models and business strategies within data ecosystems. Key features include a collaborative robot from the Robot-X initiative, aimed at enhancing the accessibility of robotic systems for small and medium-sized businesses in diverse sectors. The Factory-X initiative will showcase the real-world application of the Digital Product Passport and illustrate how digital twins can facilitate industrial applications like ‘traceability’ and ‘carbon footprint management’ in a data ecosystem. The industrial metaverse will likewise be showcased; it connects the digital and physical realms in industry and signifies the next phase in the development of interconnected production via the merging of data ecosystems, digital infrastructure, and AI. At the heart of this are demonstrators presenting industrial metaverse uses in product development, training, and simulations.

Artificial intelligence on stage

A series of expert presentations and panel discussions will give visitors the opportunity to learn from leading experts and discover best practices. Companies such as Altair, Beckhoff, Bosch, Google Cloud, PSI, SAP, and Siemens will present their latest AI-driven solutions and demonstrate how these technologies can be implemented in practice. Additionally, startups and research institutions like DFKI, Fraunhofer, and KIT will introduce innovative approaches with the potential to transform industry sustainably.

AI will take center stage on all major platforms at HANNOVER MESSE, including the Industrie 4.0 Stage in Hall 8, the Energy 4.0 Stage in Hall 13, and the Digital Transformation Stage in Hall 17. There, Thursday will be dedicated to AI in industry, featuring a full day of presentations by AI experts and use cases, continuing the successful Industrial AI Conference series.
