Catalonia-based industrial automation leader, Industrial Shields, is thrilled to announce its participation in the SPS 2023 Fair, one of the most significant events in the global industrial sector. The fair will take place from November 14th to 16th in Nuremberg, Germany. SPS is an international exhibition showcasing the latest solutions in intelligent and digital automation, bringing together over 1,600 exhibitors and 65,000 visitors from around the world.
From booth 431 in Hall 8, Industrial Shields is going to present its full range of products, including PLCs, touch screens, and IoT devices based on open source hardware such as Arduino, ESP32 and Raspberry Pi. These products offer great flexibility, compatibility, and scalability for any industrial automation project.
Among the highlights that Industrial Shields will unveil at the SPS 2023 Fair are the following devices:
• The new ESP32 PLC 14, a device with a highly competitive price and exceptional performance suitable for a wide range of applications. Its compact and robust design makes it ideal for demanding industrial environments, providing a highly affordable and versatile solution for any industrial automation project.
• The updated version of Touchberry, available in both 7 and 10 inches. This Panel PC incorporates entirely new electronics, a screen that significantly enhances the user experience, and the ability to be installed with IP65 protection. Based on the Raspberry Pi board, this device allows running the powerful Linux operating system, perfect for monitoring and control applications.
• The new WIS, a PLC for IoT solutions developed in collaboration with a leading German company in the industrial connectors sector. Its modular and customisable design makes it adaptable to any application.
In addition to showcasing its products, Industrial Shields will also exhibit various customer solutions that have used its equipment for different sectors and applications, including:
• In the winemaking sector, controlling the correct fermentation of wine with Si-Wine from the Andorran company Sira. This solution involves a control and optimisation system that adjusts wine fermentation parameters such as temperature, pH, sugar, acidity or sulphur dioxide. The system uses sensors and actuators connected to an Industrial Shields Panel PC, which sends data to a web platform for visualisation and modification.
• Two solutions for Industry 4.0 and IoT with data monitoring and exploitation systems for production control, predictive maintenance, or other indicators similar to a MES system. One is Innobox, a solution created by Innova IT, and the other is a solution developed by Industrial Shields for Nixus and the machines it manufactures for plastic injection.
• In the public lighting sector, the Smart Light Controller, a solution for controlling and optimising the consumption and quality of lighting in urban areas. This solution has already been installed in thousands of locations throughout the Iberian Peninsula, demonstrating its effectiveness and sustainability.
• A 3D SCADA solution that enables the monitoring and control of water facilities.
• Finally, in the healthcare sector, quality assurance in the process of cleaning staff clothing and patient bedding, a solution by BitGenoma with Industrial Shields hardware. This solution is a control and traceability system that verifies the correct disinfection of clothing and bedding. The system uses RFID tags and temperature and humidity sensors to identify and monitor each piece, issuing alerts in case of anomalies.
With the entire international sales team present in Nuremberg, Industrial Shields looks forward to welcoming all professionals interested in discovering its industrial automation solutions based on open source hardware.
