INSYS icom is launching its new MIRO router, a mobile router that ensures the stable routing and flexible networking of systems. The device is suitable for secure Internet connection and remote maintenance, and excels with its high level of system stability, durability and ease of use. Due to its highly compact design and attractive price, the device is ideally suited for use in automatic dispensing machines and digital signage solutions.
With dimensions of 26 x 77 x 99 mm the MIRO is particularly compact and can be used flexibly. This maximum flexibility is provided not just by its size, but also by the available mounting options: in addition to DIN rail mounting in two alignments, screw mounting on walls, mounting plates or in automatic dispensing machines, for example, is also possible. In addition, the mobile radio router is also available as a module for direct integration (MIROdul). Thanks to a LTE modem the router ensures stable Internet connection, while an Ethernet connection and a configurable, digital input or output provide the most important interfaces for linking devices and systems. An extended temperature range and independently tested resistance to vibration and shock ensure that the MIRO has true industrial quality.
The mobile radio router is particularly suitable for use in industrial applications distributed over a large area, such as digital signage solutions, automatic dispensing machines, service stations, small solar power plants or waste compactors. Via the hardened icom OS operating system the MIRO router combines functionality and security with ease of use. The router has extensive monitoring and security features as well as complex VPN and routing functionalities. The managed services of icom Router Management and icom Connectivity Suite allow users to implement central device management quickly and easily, or to connect the devices to a VPN service.
Describing the advantages of the new product Heiko Noll, Product Manager Router at INSYS icom, says: “The MIRO provides companies that have a large number of distributed systems with secure, stable networking via LTE. As a compact and durable router suitable for industrial use the MIRO is particularly effective in combination with our managed services.”
