The newly designed download area provides access to all important documents about IO-Link, such as written specifications, technical descriptions, and presentations. The complete web presence is oriented to the new motto “USE IO-Link”. USE is an acronym for Universal, Smart, and Easy. IO-Link is universal, because it is fieldbus-neutral and standardized and is thus always compatible. It is smart because its interface is functional, fast, and reliable, and it is easy because its implementation is based on existing standards. IO-Link enables access to comprehensive parameters and diagnostic data. It is thus very easy to adapt sensors and actuators during operation to the task at hand.
