At SPS 2023 in Nuremberg, Kistler has presented several technologies for automated manufacturing of its extensive portfolio of production measurement technology and joining systems. This year, Kistler focused on sensitive production steps, comprehensive data collection and analysis, as well as perfect process tracking.

Reliable solutions for process monitoring

Providing accurate force measurement data in manufacturing: the new 9172CD force transducer and wearable devices. These devices contribute to the optimization of processes. The robust 9172CD force transducer is particularly easy to install thanks to preload. Other features are its compact design and wide measurement range. It accurately detects both the smallest forces and impacts of up to 1,000 newtons and guarantees very precise results even in complex applications.

New portable devices with built-in charge amplifiers allow users to easily compare and verify data from piezoelectric sensors located right next to the machine without removing them. In combination with a traceable calibration according to ISO17025, the 5811A00 and 5811A01 mobile devices can be used as reference measurement devices.

Kistler’s maXYmos system shows how processes can be monitored in real time, as it allows comprehensive monitoring and immediate evaluation of quality parameters. With the latest version, users have access to a large amount of measurement and device data. Expanded audit trail functionality protects the system against tampering attempts.

Customizable joining solutions

Visitors to SPS 2023 also had the opportunity to test the NCFE 2/5, NCFT and NCFR electromechanical joining modules, as well as various customization options. At Joining Competence Center, experts determine which option suits the needs of each user. They simulate all important steps in advance and help to choose the right solution and optimize the joining process.

Another example of customizable solutions from Kistler at SPS 2023 was the Smart Single Station, which is suitable, among others, for the most sensitive joining applications and their monitoring. It can be used as a stand-alone solution but can also be integrated into existing production lines.

Additionally, Kistler’s jBEAM visualization and analysis software and MaDaM data management solution enable reports to be automatically generated based on the combined data. Software solutions are also attractive for machine manufacturers. They can use them to integrate analytics templates into their machines so that end customers can use interactive analytics to monitor and optimize their processes.
