Making engineering really easy: this is the goal being pursued by Lenze, the specialist in Motion Centric Automation. To this end, the company will be presenting its new standardised software modules at the sps ipc drives fair in Nuremberg (27 to 29 November). These modules allow machine builders to create 80% of the machine software in 20% of the typical time. Visitors to the Lenze booth at Stand 360 in Hall 1 can experience first-hand how development times can be drastically reduced using easy, parameterisable technology functions from the modular range.
With its EASY Explorer, Lenze is also presenting a new web-based tool that allows even users with minimal experience to independently generate initial drive solutions within a project. This application already provides a fast overview of alternatives and Lenze products that can be used in the very early planning phase of a machine. The alternatives determined can then be transferred to further Lenze software tools, for example to calculate optimised energy requirements using the Drive Solution Designer.
Crystal clear: Lenze will also be presenting its d600 touchscreen monitor as a concept. With its scratch-resistant, wear-free glass surface, this monitor caters to the strictest hygiene demands. This touchscreen concept underlines Lenze’s mission to provide holistic consulting and solution competency, as it also allows easy and intuitive machine operation in deployment areas with specific hygiene requirements.
In terms of controllers, Lenze will be showing various products in Nuremberg, including its i700 series. These servo inverters have been designed specifically for multi-axis applications and also consistently trimmed for usability. The inverters excel through their easy installation concept, as well as their general compactness and flexibility. The double axis modules, for example, help save valuable space in control cabinets. The range currently encompasses both single and double axis modules to cover the power range from 0.75 to 15 kW, together with matching power supply modules.
