Moog will be exhibiting a range of its innovative technology at the EuroBLECH Trade Show held at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds, Hannover Germany (Hall 27, Booth G174) between 23 and 26 October.

EuroBLECH is the largest international trade show for the sheet metal and metal working industry, and features over 1,500 exhibitors from 40 countries. This year Moog will exhibit its 360° Solution, offering electric, hydraulic and hybrid technologies. The Solution deploys a ‘technology neutral’ approach, through which the company helps metal and metal working machine builders make use of technology that helps achieve all of their performance goals.

At EuroBLECH Moog will launch its new Modular Die Cushion System, which will feature as a live display. Moog`s new system includes a main cylinder with integrated position measuring technology, accumulators, a hydraulic power unit and a number of manifolds. The system features software libraries, and the control unit’s hardware components provide a compact, robust hydraulic system enabling highly dynamic control.

Customers will benefit from Moog‘s extensive experience in developing motion control technology for metal presses. As a package, the Modular Die Cushion System can save both time and money. Its easy-to-use software enables a longer life for deep-drawing dies, higher system reliability and reduced time required for commissioning the system in the plant.

Also on display at this year’s show will be one of Moog’s other key new products, the Electrohydrostatic Pump Unit (EPU). The EPU is a next-generation, hybrid system designed to combine the advantages of both electro-hydraulic and electro-mechanical technologies. It brings together the reduced consumption of an electrical system, and the power of a highly reliable hydraulic system with easy energy storage for failsafe motion. The unit is available either as a single product, or as an integrated Electrohydrostatic Actuation System (EAS) that combines the EPU with additional components the customer requires.

The EAS is an equally important part of Moog’s 360° approach, and the company designed it to help customers achieve optimum solutions that meet specific machine needs across multiple applications. This technology helps to implement a decentralized motion control system that eliminates the need for the hydraulic power unit, complex piping and filtration systems, thereby reducing the need for additional space on each axis.

Moog’s Large Motor Solution (LMS), another of the new products featured at this year’s EuroBLECH, has been designed to provide a highly dynamic, high torque and reliable throughput for the next generation of metal working machinery. The LMS is a new primary motion system for servo control from 139 kW to 1 MW, that offers the highest dynamics available to the metal industry. It also features an integrated system architecture that provides energy savings and higher productivity. The motor is available with collaborative engineering support that will help simplify engineering challenges, and comes with tools that will facilitate quicker machine design and commissioning time.
